textile flower artist
Ever since I can remember,
I have loved arts and crafts and felt happiness every time I could create something using fabrics, thread and paper.
I majored in textiles at university in Japan, and after graduating, I studied traditional flower- making techniques.
In 2004, I started creating floral-works.
Since then, I have been commissioned by individuals, companies, and organizations to create flowers. And I have continued to improve my creative techniques for more than 25 years.
Roses, irises, lilies, wild flowers, and many others..., I have come to create distinctive creations of flowers as my quintessence.
Each petal of my work is created from white fabric.
The entire process is done by hand, from pattern making to cutting fabric, dyeing, shaping..., and so forth. My floral-works are created with many elaborate techniques passed down through the generations of craft specialists.
